JURA AFTER WARRANTY SERVICE

JURA machines are designed and built to be serviced with a special type of diagnostic software, the JURA Animation System. A similar tool, JURA Terminal 4000 is applied for GIGA X-series Machines. This software allows us to accurately diagnose and identify the actual problem of the machine. The system also creates a detailed statistic report, to better understand eventual issues.

For us, Servicing is more than just changing faulty parts. We decalcify and clean the machine from inside out to remove all possible limescale and coffee oils built up over time. A JURA Decalcifying & Cleaning Station allows us to clean even those hard to reach parts of a machine.
After the service, we perform an outgoing test to ensure that all functions of the machines are working properly before the machine is returned to the customer.

SERVICING PRINCIPLES

We, RICMAS do accept any type of JURA Machine for servicing, locally or overseas purchased machines, as long the machine is suitable for operation in Singapore, meaning a rating label with 230V, 50 Hz.
We service machines only at our Hospitality Center where we are equipped with tools and a substantial stock of spare parts. We also believe, it is essential that the machine gets properly cleaned during a servicing. Therefor we do have proper descaling and cleaning stations, which allow us to get it done in a professional manner.
IMPORTANT: JURA Machines are supported 10 years after last production of a specific model. After the ten years, we are not able to repair your machine any longer. Our Sales Personnel shall be most pleased to offer a trade-in to a new model at a good price.
Best practise is that you bring in your machine to our Hospitality Center, where we can explore together the actual problem with your JURA Machine and define a best solution to get it back to working again. We have created three service Levels for domestic and the small office machines.

SERVICE FOR DOMESTIC AND SMALL OFFICE MACHINES

Domestic and small office machines are stritly repaired at our Hospitality Center only. We offer three levels of Serving.

QUICK SERVICING:
If during the joint inspection of your JURA Machine we discover a small issue, we shall repair the machine on the spot without any of the internal spare parts to be replaced. No Cleaning or Descaling Process will be executed.
A typical case might be the removal of harden Milk from the Milk Frother or clearing a Grinder from harden Coffee or a foreign object.
If any decorative parts must be replaced, it shall be billed separately. The time required to get the machine serviced shall not exceed 30 Minutes.
OPTIONAL COLLECTION / RETURN
We encourage Customers to carry-in the faulty machine for a joint inspection and a decision what's the best solution for a remedy. We do understand, that there might be cases where you are not able to carry the machine in, for whatever reason. For such cases, we offer a collection- as well as a return service at SGD 30.00 per Trip.
MINOR SERVICING:
If during the joint inspection of your JURA Machine we discover a minor issue, we repair the machine within 2 - 3 working days, depending on workload and spare part availability. A Cleaning and Descaling Process will be executed.
A typical case might be a replacement of a valve or a leaking connection.
If you wish to replace any decorative parts, which do not affect the functioning of the machine, it shall be billed separately. We shall contact you when the machine is ready for collection.
OPTIONAL COLLECTION / RETURN
We encourage Customers to carry-in the faulty machine for a joint inspection and a decision what's the best solution for a remedy. We do understand, that there might be cases where you are not able to carry the machine in, for whatever reason. For such cases, we offer a collection- as well as a return service at SGD 30.00 per Trip.

QUOTATION SERVICING:
If during the joint inspection of your JURA Machine we discover a major part of the Machine has failed, we shall produce a Quotation for the Repair of the Machine. The Quotation includes collection / return of the Machine, all Spare Parts and use-up Material used, Labour for Repair and Cleaning.
A major part of the Machine is:

  • The Brewer
  • The Grinder
  • The Pump
  • Any Electronic Board

We only shall accept the machine upon customer's consent to repair by signing the Quotation provided.
For corporate customers who require a PO for the processing of a Service, we will provide a Quotation and shall wait for the PO before accepting the machine for Servicing.
The cost of a Major Service is based on the machine's Article Number and is pre-defined by our system. Spare Parts are not itemized upon billing. We do not replace decorative parts which are not affecting the machine functioning. If a customer wishes to replace those parts, we shall bill you accordingly.
We shall contact you when the machine is ready for collection or to be sent back.


SERVICE JURA GIGA X MACHINES

JURA GIGA X Machines come with a fix water connection and often cannot be moved easily. We repair all JURA GIGA X-Family Machines on site. However, should the problem with the machine be substantial, we consider taking the Machine back to our Hospitality Center. This will be treated as a Quotation Service then.

ON SITE SERVICING:
If your JURA GIGA X Machine fails, please contact our Customer Service Desk to fix an appointment for our trained service personnel to inspect and repair the Machine at your premises. If a repair can be done on the first attempt, we shall charge you for the on-site Service (SGD 180.00) plus all Spare Part used.
If a second attempt is required, no extra charges shall apply.
If the repair requires that we must take back the Machine to our Hospitality Center, the on-site charges shall be waived and a QUOTATION SERVICE shall apply.

WARRANTY ON SERVICING

We grant a 6 (six) weeks Warranty on any Service or Repair of any JURA Machine under any Service Principle. If the Machine fails during the six weeks after Invoice Date, we shall rectify the problem at no charge.
This Service Warranty does not apply to User caused Faults like:
  • If you do not use the machine in accordance what is printed in the Operator's Instruction Manual.
  • Clogged Grinders due to non-suitable coffee beans or not properly handled beans even if you purchased beans from RICMAS.
  • Removal of foreign objects in the grinder.
  • Removing harden Milk in Frothers, Milk Tubes or discoloured milk Hoses.
  • Scratches on decorative Parts like Drip Tray or the Casing.
  • Using Cleaning Materials other than original JURA Cleaning Material.
